The Texas dust storm made its way to Virginia. On Saturday, our cars were covered in mud. People were quite confused, and the news did a report on it. I was planning to take my car to the carwash on Friday, but I'm glad I didn't, or it would have been for nothing.

So that's where the dust ended up! Our meteorologist said the winds were so strong that the dust stayed high and didn't settle here. Crazy that it made it all the way to Virginia!

This was in the news article: "The dust and sand were lofted into the clouds where it stayed until it was picked up by a strong jet stream wind that transported it toward the Mid-Atlantic. The dust acted as the condensation nuclei, or 'glue,' to help form the raindrops and even sleet. Once they fell and melted, it left the muddy mess on your car." https://www.wdbj7.com/2025/03/08/dirty-rain-likely-texas-dust-storm/

When the Canada wildfires happened back in 2023?, the smoke made its way down here. It's crazy the far-reaching impact.

Those winds looked awful. Hope your damage is repaired soon. That sunset shot was beautiful.

I've read Stephanie's books before, and they don't disappoint.

Thank you! It's a good week for those in the roofing business for sure. Gotta love Texas weather. *heavy sarcasm font*

Hope you made it through the wind okay!

Just saw your earlier post. I'm in the metroplex, so I experienced those wind gusts & dust also. It took me back to Dec 2015 and the EF4 tornado my husband and I experienced (the windows blown out, tree limb through the roof, and the continuing rain). My neighbors & I say we have PTSD from it and are very weather aware. And all these years later, I say the tornado was a blessing for me (house repaired and refreshed). We can find the silver linings and count our blessings.
