I read your blog post about this year's reading challenge and thought I'd chime in with to let you know that you are not alone with huuuuge TBR stacks from BOMC.
Out of the 15 books that were on my BOMC stack, I have only recently read 3!! And, that only happened because I was sick for three weeks over the holidays. Wishing you much more HEALTHY success at getting through your TBR stacks.
Thanks, Joan! It’s so easy to get behind. I just recently finished Bright Young Women so that’s at least one off the BOTM stack lol. Good luck on your quest!
I've read several books in multiple genres so far this year. My favorite is *Darling Girls*, which won't have its US release for a few months. A domestic thriller.
I use the Simplified planner. I've been using it for several years and am too lazy to switch. It works for now.
Happy New Year to you too! I'll have to keep an eye out for that book. And hey, if a planner is working for you, no need to switch! I was with the Day Designer for many years and only took a break from it because I was in burnout and a page a day wasn't necessary during that time. But now I'm back to it. So when one works, roll with it. :)
I read Remarkably Bright Creatures and was pleasantly surprised. I dont read many books with a protagonist in that older age range and I loved it for that but also the Octopus - did NOT see that coming. I was so skeptical about that and delightfully surprised at the end.
Same! Totally not my normal type of read but it was my neighborhood book club pick. one of the reasons I like being in that b/c they get me to read things I wouldn't normally read......sometimes! lol
I LOVE Marcellus! I had him marked as my 2023 book boyfriend. Happy New Year!
lol, love that! That was my only complaint about the book. I wanted even more Marcellus chapters.

Yes, I'm not sure I would've picked that one up if not for it being the book club pick, but I'm so glad I did!

Happy B~lated New Year as well LOL!!!
thank you! :)
Treading lightly on my reading as well~it seems like the cold is sucking the want out of my will thus far!
Yeah, the winter makes everything feel a little (or a lot) harder.
