For me, Summer Reading Guides are kind of like an unexpected gift. I love to see the pretty designs, the creativity, and the components of the guide. Do I peruse them to try to find something to read? Probably not much, but occasionally I'll see a book on one that I hadn't heard about before that I might be interested in. I like to collect them like I do bookmarks. Just more bookish fun that puts a smile on my face everytime I see one.

Oh, how I love this title and sub-title! I have a love-hate relationship with summer reading guides and challenges. On one hand, I love the lightness and chance to read outside of my usual reading life (read a book set at the beach...read a book with a summer cover, etc.). But on the other hand, I want my reading life to help me grow into the person I want to become in whatever season I am in and that means my challenge needs to be more personal. I created a 3-book summer reading challenge based on my BE-FEEL-DO framework instead. These guides give me inspiration, but ultimately, I am choosing books just right for me...with a few fun beach reads thrown in for good measure. =) Thanks for listing these all together so I can find new bookish inspiration!
