I watched it a few days ago! I enjoyed it also. I pretty much love all Christmas movies though. There are some I would only watch once and that’s enough and then there are others that I can watch over and over. Today I watched A Princess for Christmas, and The Holiday Calendar. Both of these I would watch again. I highly recommend The Holiday if you have not seen it, it is one of my all time favorite movies!
I feel like I watched The Holiday when it came out but I don't have much memory of it, so that probably means I need to rewatch it! :) Thanks for the rec.
Lol, can't compare the two. My sentimental childhood attachment to Sixteen Candles is too great. I can't be objective. But if you're asking me if this will become a classic I come back to each year? No, probably not. But was it a fun time to watch? Yes. :)
I watched the trailer of Love Hard. LOL immediately knew it wasn't for me because the guy looked like he was about 16, while she was clearly in her 20's. I have the same problem w/ Timothee Chalamet. He completely ruined the Little Women remake for me because both Jo and Amy looked so much more mature that it looked like they were cradle robbing in their romantic scenes with him.
Lol, in real life, he's actually 34 and she's 32, so he's older. :) We need to find out their skin care routine because they both look younger than their age!
I don't watch a lot of romance movies either since I live with two guys. Hmm... I'm leaving work early today so maybe I'll sit down and watch it this afternoon while I get caught up on my crochet projects.
I look forward to holiday romance movies every year. At one point I used to be hard-core hallmark fan Until I got rid of cable. Figured I’d download the app and pay monthly but then turned out they don’t have a large variety of films on there which was frustrating.
Several of the ones that I sent to revisit are a Cinderella Christmas, The spirit of Christmas , and a Christmas case. Really good enjoy them. As for Love Hard, I added it to my list on Netflix but didn’t plan on watching it any time soon since the trailer really didn’t do much to grab my attention. But I’ll probably watch it tmw after reading your review.
Watched Love Hard the other day, it was an ok, but not really what I look for in true romance style. There is a book made movie (70s) called Same Time Next Year. Definitely not the kind 9f romance you would expect for the time period, but loving and relevant to modern day romantic interests. Best romance movie to me is Love Actually, watched it so many times I know all the words.
Thanks for the rec! I'll have to look up Same Time Next Year. One of my goals of this challenge is to watch movies from eras I missed, so that might be perfect. :)
OMG, I just watched Hard Love 2 days ago! Loved it for ALL the same reasons you listed, fav scene was absolutely the Baby it’s cold outside. I hate this song for the same reasons the heroine does and this rendition had me in stitches and I’ve been singing their version ever since. The best friend had me howling because she is ME! My mother couldn’t stop laughing and the hero’s grandmother is who I want to be when I grow old 😂 highly recommend!
I like the new format of your newsletter. I don't watch any TV but I still enjoyed reading about what you liked.
aww, thanks! It won't just be about movies. ;)
Your newsletter sounds fun. I’m looking forward to the next installment. Haven’t seen the movie, but after reading your review, I’d like to.
Thanks! Hope you enjoy the movie! :)

I have not seen that so thx 4 the awesome review/suggest!
If u were to compare it to sixteen candles as sixteen candles being 5 stars~What would Love Hard rate?

Wow, I never would have guessed that! Poor guy - I bet he gets carded everywhere!
I hadn't planned on watching this but now I'm intrigued! Thanks for the review.
Awesome. Hope you enjoy it! :)
Well I know what I am binging this weekend - LoveHard!
have fun!

Yeah, I've decided I'm just going to claim my romantic movie time even if I have to watch solo. :)

Alan Alda plays the male lead. The book was definitely better though 😊

Yay, glad you enjoyed it too! And yes the best friend and grandmother were fantastic. The whole thing was just a delight. :)
